Little Hero Lab is operated by Eduards Ševčenko, a self-employed individual registered in Latvia (“Little Hero Lab”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).

We create personalized digital products in which a child can become the hero of their own adventure.

2. Information We Collect

When you use Little Hero Lab or place an order, we may collect information including:

Parent or customer information:

• Email address

• Order and payment information

• Information you provide when contacting us

Information provided to personalize the product:

• Child’s first name

• Age

• Gender

• Interests and other personalization details provided by the parent or guardian

• Child’s photograph

• Selected world, theme, visual style and product preferences

We only ask for information that is necessary to create, deliver and support the personalized product.

3. Children’s Personal Data

Little Hero Lab products are purchased and configured by parents, legal guardians, or other adults who have the authority to provide the child’s information and photograph.

Children should not submit their personal information or photographs directly to Little Hero Lab.

By uploading a child’s photograph or providing information about a child, you confirm that you have the right and authority to provide that information for the purpose of creating the personalized product.

We take additional care when processing children’s personal data and aim to collect only the information necessary to provide the requested personalization.

4. How We Use Your Information

We may use personal information to:

• Create the personalized Little Hero character and product

• Generate personalized illustrations using artificial intelligence

• Process and manage orders

• Deliver the completed digital product

• Send transactional emails relating to the order

• Provide customer support

• Detect and resolve technical problems

• Meet legal, accounting and regulatory obligations

• Protect the security and integrity of our service

We do not sell children’s photographs or personal information.

We do not use a child’s photograph in advertising, social media, public examples or promotional materials without separate permission.

5. Artificial Intelligence Processing

Little Hero Lab uses artificial intelligence services to create personalized characters and illustrations.

Information required for generation, which may include the uploaded reference photograph and personalization instructions, may be securely transmitted to AI service providers involved in creating the product.

We currently use the OpenAI API as part of our generation process.

According to OpenAI’s current API data practices, API inputs and outputs are not used to train OpenAI models by default unless the API customer explicitly opts in to data sharing.

6. Service Providers

To operate Little Hero Lab, we use technology and service providers that may process limited personal information on our behalf.

These may include:

• Wix — website hosting, order management, media storage, communications and related website services

• OpenAI — AI-based image and content generation

• Railway — backend infrastructure used during product generation

• Payment service providers used to securely process payments

• Email and other technical service providers necessary to operate and deliver the service

These providers process information according to their respective contractual and data-protection obligations.

7. How Long We Keep Information

We aim to keep personal information only for as long as necessary for the purpose for which it was collected.

Temporary files used during product generation may be deleted automatically after the finished product has been successfully transferred to our delivery system.

The completed product and order information may be retained for a limited period to allow product delivery, customer support, order recovery and compliance with legal obligations.

Certain transaction and accounting records may need to be retained for longer where required by law.

Third-party service providers may apply their own technical retention periods in accordance with their policies and applicable legal requirements.

8. Legal Bases for Processing

Depending on the circumstances, we process personal data where it is necessary:

• To perform our contract with you and create and deliver the product you ordered

• To comply with legal obligations

• For our legitimate interests in operating, securing and improving the reliability of our service, where those interests do not override your rights

• Where consent is required, on the basis of your consent

Where separate permission is required for optional uses of a child’s photograph or other personal information, we will request that permission separately.

9. International Data Transfers

Some of our technology providers may process information outside Latvia or the European Economic Area (EEA).

Where personal data is transferred internationally, appropriate safeguards and transfer mechanisms required by applicable data-protection law are used.

10. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on applicable law, you may have the right to:

• Request access to your personal data

• Request correction of inaccurate information

• Request deletion of personal data

• Request restriction of processing

• Object to certain processing

• Request portability of your data where applicable

• Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent

• Lodge a complaint with the relevant data-protection authority
